Long Weekend

We had about 4 days off for Columbus Day weekend which seemed nice at the beginning but we were all ready for school when it started back up on Tuesday! We had a much needed rainy day which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. We watched the rain and Amelia practiced her ballet. In the picture below she kept repeating "some enjoy the ballet" over and over while doing her spins.

We made candy corn bark. Yum!

On Monday we headed to thew Botanical Gardens for the butterfly exhibit with our good friend Maggie and her kids Griffin, Norah, and MaryKate. The kids needed an outside running around day after being cooped up in the rain so this was perfect!

The zip line butterfly

Feeding the ducks:
Amelia kept talking to them like they could understand her " Duckies, I don't have any more food, your bellies are full, eat your supper first, no more duckies, it's all gone, go back in the water, I ran out!, your bellies will hurt you! No dessert!"

Picnic lunch
This is Amelia's favorite thing to do. She is baby obsessed and only the real thing will do. The smaller the better. The crawlers and wigglers just annoy her. She absolutely adores MaryKate and would take her home in a heartbeat. She holds her any chance she gets and MaryKate is such a sweet baby and so tolerant that she lets her.
Will got in on the baby love too!
Amelia in her usual state. This is when she usually looks up at you and yells "NEVER!" and then just runs off and plays. She's so moody already!

More baby love!
So cute!
This got very messy! Norah kept dipping her hair in the fountain but this was just too cute!
