Soccer Saturdays

Will had his second soccer game yesterday. He moved up in division this year which has been a bit of an adjustment. It is the under 8 league which means giant field, about 100 boys on the filed, goalie with giant goal, and 1 hour game with no subs. The boys are all having some growing pains this season and so is the coach. He is used to winning every game and the team has yet to score a goal but they are playing their little hearts out and that is all you can ask for. Plus, they are having a really good time. It was much cooler yesterday due to the occasional passing rain cloud so with umbrella (and lollipop) in hand Amelia and I cheered on from the sidelines.

Trying to figure out which one was "William" as she has taken to calling him these days

Playing goalie in the first half
He made some really great saves!

Gearing up for the monster kick. His coach picks him 9 times out of 10 for this. This kid has got a foot on him!

Love this coach! We have been with him and his son Julio for three seasons now. He really has a love for the game and a good knowledge of the sport. He has a lot of fun with the boys.
