SeaWorld

We are finally getting out and seeing a bit of San Antonio although it helps that Will's Pepe (my Dad) is in town for a visit. SeaWorld is only 6 miles from our house so we decided to make it our first stop. We bought military season passes which are only $2 more than a day pass so now we can go all year long. Will does not like anything remotely scary or anything in costumes so he was a little hesitant about going to a place where they have sharks and wouldn't you know the moment we walk into the park a huge Shamu walks by us. He was ready to go home at that point. We talked him into going to see the dolphins first and after that he had forgotten about all the "scary" stuff.
He really wanted to see the penguins so we headed over there next and on our way ran into some baby pink flamingos. I couldn't believe he actually wanted to give them a drink. It did not scare him at all.

We finally made it to the penguins. He could have sat there for hours watching those cute little guys. He kept saying" Look, it's like my "novie" Happy Feet." Pepe of course took him to the gift shop and let him pick out a penguin for him to take home.

We rounded out the day with lunch in a Shamu lunch box and ice cream. On our way out, we walked by all the fun toddler water play areas. Most required a bathing suit for parent and child but we found one that he could splash around in. He wanted to be completely naked but I thought the underwear was enough. Since we are potty training I always have an extra pair with me so when he was done he was able to get nice and dry again.

Right now my dad, husband, and son are all out for a "boy's day" breakfast which leaves me with a nice quiet morning! As soon as they get back, we are headed downtown for a riverboat cruise, the Alamo, and hopefully some really good Mexican food!
